Saranac Lake and Lake Placid

Saranac Lake NY
That’s me kayaking on Lake Flower in Saranac Lake, NY

Welcome to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake –

One of my family getaways when I was a kid was in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid  NY.

My dad who began the tradition as a child and brought us up to stay in the area during the summers when I was a kid. We fished in Lake Flower, rowed boats and enjoyed the time away.

I stopped back with my wife again this year (2014) and we had a wonderful time.

It is a great place to Live and visit and just a short drive from Central NY. Either via the Thruway or more fun and scenic through Old Forge . Perfect 4 season getaway for recreational minded adults or families. The olympic museum is a great stop as well.
